Rush Vapor Trails double vinyl LP NM played only once SUPER RARE

You are looking at a listing for Rush's 2002 release Vapor Trails on double vinyl.  This set has been played less than one full time (only one or two sides were ever spun on my high-quality equipment).  The sleeve is in NM practically new condition, and has been in a plastic outer sleeve since I first purchased it.  I have to say that I think the album artwork really lends itself well to the larger LP format, so besides this vinyl edition being the best way to hear this album, it looks nice too :-)

The double vinyl LPs are in NM/VG++ condition (according to Goldmine visual grading standards).  There are some non-audible light marks from the original inner sleeves, and a couple deeper marks on one side that DO NOT affect the playback in anyway (no skips, pops, clicks, etc).  Like I said above, this set has been played less than one complete time, so take this opportunity to get basically a brand new copy without spending the sealed copy money!  The double vinyl LPs have been placed in Mobile Fidelity inner sleeves for maximum protection and preservation since I first opened the set, and I will of course include them with the set.

This vinyl version of Vapor Trails makes an interesting mark in the cd vs vinyl debate.  When originally released in 2002, the cd release was plagued with digital distortion from poor mastering and mixing.  For many Rush fans, this low sound quality has negatively affected their opinion of this great release, the Canadian trio's first since a 6 year hiatus.  However, the vinyl issue of this album has been known in audiophile circles to be the definitive method of listening.  Due to technological differences between the cd and vinyl medium, the mastering here isn't nearly as hot as it is on the cd.  This results in the MOST PLEASURABLE listening experience of Vapor Trails we're likely to get unless the band goes back and remasters the album.

I've added a couple close up photos that show that there's a bit of edge wear creasing.  So with this in mind I'd say the sleeve is closer to VG++ than NM.  There is also a bit of ringwear too from being kept on a shelf with other records, but it is barely noticeable.  I just want to make sure I am being 100% up front in regards to the exact condition of this item.

I should also add that the LPs will have been previously cleaned with a Spin Clean record cleaning machine and that the labels are pristine and look as new as the day it was first opened.  This really is a great specimen of this release and you'll be hard pressed to find a better copy unless it is still sealed.
