Description

SUPER RARE, Sun #181, BEAR CAT / WALKING IN THE RAIN. This song was the ANSWER /RESPONSE to Big Mama Thornton's Original version of, " Hound Dog ".
This is only the 2nd 78 of this I've ever located and is in FANTASTIC condition for it's age. I'd rate it at least a 9.7 on a scale of 1 to 10. BOTH labels and vinyl. Just a BEAUTIFUL example of this RARE Sun 78. Beats the one on display at Sun Studio in Memphis that's for sure !! During this certain time period, Sam Phillips was only pressing very FEW copies of this 78 due to financial restraints that later would change due to him selling Elvis Presley's contract to RCA, allowing him to run Sun Records more "professionally" without the financial restraints he had previously had prior to selling Presley's contract.
The 78 version of this record is far more EXTINCT than it's 45 counterpart.
Due to the FRAGILE NATURE of the 78 it will be shipped, FULLY INSURED for the selling price. This, as you know here in the U.S. has become expensive, but WORTH it. It will be professionally packed as I've sold 100's of 78rpm vinyl over the past 40+ years and only lost 1 in transit due to a size 10 footprint on the outside of the box where it was stomped on by an employee during shipping.
