Description

For bid is The Teen Kings with Roy Orbison, which is RO's early years, on JE-WEL label. It has TRYING TO GET TO YOU on one side and OOBY DOOBY on the other. The label looks good as can be seen in the pics and the record itself has light surface scratching and looks in good shape.

There is no reserve on this and it will be shipped for $3.50 priority with insurance. This is a small part of my husbands collection of records from the 50's he will be selling. The records have all been stored and not played for around 40 years. The ones we have played sound fine. It is time to let someone have them that can appreciate them.

I AM BEING ASKED IF THIS IS AN ORIGINAL RECORD!! YES!!! My husband has had this record stored for 45 years or close to it. He got it when he and Roy Orbison were both teenagers. My understanding is Orbison was a teenager when RO was with the teen kings. My husband tells me he once saw Roy perform before Orbison was big in or around New Mexico and Texas. I may have played the record when we married in 1963 like I played a lot of the ones he had collected. Though I doubt it since, I had never heard of it because I am five years younger and it was before my time. Since that time at least they have all been kept in a record case. He and I are selling all of them because we never listen to them and we have so much stuff we are downsizing. We just would like someone to have them that really wants them, because we no longer do. If the record was a fake it was so when he bought it in the 50's. Hope this will solve the issue of whether or not the record is an original.
