Roy Byrd and his Blues Jumpers (a.k.a. Professor Longhair) Mercury 8175 'Bald Head' / 'Hey How Baby'
10" 78 rpm record, original shellac record circa March 1950
Professor Longhair, piano
Early Professor Longhair on this 10" 78 RPM. Phenomenal 50's style New Orleans jump blues with an early rock n' roll tinge.
GRADE: V- / V 'Bald Head' is V- 'Hey Now Baby' is strong
ITEM DETAILS: Scratches / groove wear / wear typical of age. Sound comes through well with standard background noise common with 78s, more on the 'Bald Head' side. The record plays well on my setup. Your playback may vary. See photos and ask any questions.
