Description

An original 1st press of SIREN on UK Island from '75. Matrix 4/4. Etching "Thoroughly Moderne & GM". As I understand it the copies with WHITE Island logos are the FIRST IN THE LINE. The White logos don't look quite right to me. Record exec steps in and asks for Blue - me thinks. You can find some copies with one blue and one white. Later copies are ALL blue. But my hunch is WHITE both sides is the earliest variant. The vinyl comes housed in an original Robor cover. There's also a black inner sleeve too - with Island records address. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Wow - what a copy. Those strings! Highly addictive. I couldn't detect more than a few brief minor crackles in one isolated spot per side. It is an absolute cracker. Clearly a near-master copy...you can hear it! Wow... Roxy really were good... [five albums in!]
Cover (Ex-) Nice clean surfaces - many original copies can age and look pretty tired by this point in time. I'm pleased to report only lightest handling on surfaces. Jerry's on the rocks again! Some edge wear in places, but nothing epic. Expect some wear on the spine. Thankfully you can still pretty much make out all the text. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits. Bag present. Practically perfect!
