Roxy Music Siren LP Island UK 1st Press GREAT AUDIO [Ex/Ex]

	$		33

Description

An original 1st press of SIREN on UK Island from '75. Matrix 4/4. Etching "Thoroughly Moderne & GM". The vinyl comes housed in an original Robor cover. There's also a black inner sleeve too - with Island records address. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side, and a superficial trail - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Those strings! Highly addictive. . It is a great player.  A few crackles in one brief isolated spot per side. I detected a couple of crackles and a coupe of minor ticks as LISD begins. Nothing unpalatable. A super rendition. PLEASE note there appears to be some glue around the spindle hole. Please rest assured this is likely from way back in the 70's. I've never ever seen this before on a record! And whilst a cosmetic issue has no bearing on playback whatsoever.
Cover (Ex) Very  nice clean surfaces without much sign of wear or creasing. Jerry's on the rocks again! Minimal edge wear in places. Spine fully intact with the a couple of minor stress creases. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits. Bag present.
