Reggae, Roots, Dub and Ska from a collection I aquired of well looked after rarities.
This amazingly rare copy of JOE HIGGS & JIMMY CLIFF 'SOUND OF THE CITY' / 'CITYSOUND DUB' was released on the Jamaican Sun Power label in 1978.
It has survived in a nice playable condition with only a couple of visible but NON SOUNDING marks on the 'A' side. It plays with a little background noise and a couple of light ticks which is par for the course with Jamaican presses even when new).
It has unmarked labels with NO Writing, Tears or Stickers on the 'A' side, (there is a double label on the 'B' side which is quite common with Jamaican presses and a letter 'A' in pen - see pics for exact condition).
The single PLAYGRADES inbetween VERY GOOD PLUS and Very Good condition (the 'B' side grades higher as it has less background noise).
This record virtually never comes up for sale in the UK as collectors just don't want to let go of them.
It is supplied in a replacement paper sleeve and its poly sleeve for dust protection.
I'm also throwing in a FREE (random) Reggae 7" single with this record!
Rare Record Collector Grading: Very Good +
VERY GOOD PLUS: The record has been played, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, with light surface mark(s) but without any major defects and some wear and tear on the cover.
I will ONLY SEND this 'SIGNED FOR'.
