Description
I'm currently Selling Reggae, Roots, Dub and Ska from a collection I aquired that had not seen light of day for many years. Unlike much old Rare Reggae these have not been played to death and mostly are not defaced in the way many singles were.
This lovely playable copy of the single by DESI ROOTS 'SCHOOL TONIGHT' / FATMAN RIDDIM SECTION 'FOOL TONIGHT' was released on the JAMAICAN 'TOP RANKING' (Distributed By Federal Records) label in 1978.
It has survived with only minor surface scuffs (not greatly affecting sound). There is a bit of intro crackle and a touch of hiss on the 'B' side but this is nothing unusual for Jamaican presses.
The labels are lovely condition and complete and have NO Stickers or tears but have a single pair of initials on the 'B' side (see pics for exact condition)!!!
The single PLAYGRADES in between EXCELLENT and EX Plus condition. The 'B' side with a little intro and background crackle in quieter passages is more like a VG+.
THIS SINGLE RARELY COMES UP FOR SALE IN THIS CONDITION AND WITH MOSTLY CLEAN LABELS.
It is supplied in a replacement white sleeve and its poly sleeve for dust protection.
Rare Record Collector Grading: EX (Excellent)
EXCELLENT: The record shows very minimal signs of having been played, there is almost no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear/tear and / or creasing.
