Here I have for sale the Original Cast Soundtrack LP to the 1966 stage musical 'On the Level'. Music by Ron Grainer. He would have composed this just before his classic cult score to the TV series 'The Prisoner', broadcast a year later. The musical starred Barrie Ingham, Angela Richards and Gary Bond.

Produced by Brian Epstein and Martin Landau. Lyrics by Ronald Millar.

This UK issue is the only known release of this album. This mod musical – the earliest of the sixties 'youth musicals' – is a long-lost artefact of Swinging London.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
Vinyl – G-VG. Some hairline scuffs and rubbing, mottling. However, played just pre-listing and sound clarity is very good despite visual. Some surface noise between cues and start of each side. Some clicks in places. No skipping, jumping or sticking. Vocals remain bright. An enjoyable listening experience!
Outer Sleeve (Cover) – F-G. Nice laminated front but obvious signs of wear with minor edge damage and corner wear. Some vein-like creases in from edges. Disc showthrough outline on top and dark area on top left corner. On reverse is some staining residue but no tears. Looks to have suffered from damp – aperture edge is bad and damaged and water stains apparent on top and bottom flipbacks. Slight tear on top flipback but they are all attached. Slight disc showthrough outline.
Inner Sleeve – G-VG. Original CBS picture sleeve. White paper with album previews in black and orange one side; catalogue listing on the other. Folding and creasing. Small tear on aperture edge. Other edges are intact.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
