THE ROLLING STONES - 'THE ROLLING STONES'
This 1st German pressing of their debut album dates from 1964 and is on the red & gold Decca label: BLK 16 300P

Both the side 1 label and the cover list 'Mona' as track 4 on side 1

Machine stamped matrix numbers: XARL 6271-II X & XARL 6272-I X

'MANUFACTURED IN GERMANY' is also machine stamped into both run-outs.

Vinyl weight: 141g

The disc is housed within a semi-gloss German printed cover which still bears the 'MacNeill Press' credit on the rear panel.

CONDITION

Disc

Labels: EXCELLENT

Both are clean and, apart from some damage to the centre of the side 1 label, unblemished.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which are 'as new' & unmarked in strong daylight, with just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT

This copy appears to have been hardly played and the sound quality overall is unworn. My single careful play-check at volume detected a touch of light vinyl background between tracks & on some of the album's few quieter moments, but no ticks, clicks, jumps or any other audible faults or wear of any kind.

Cover: VERY GOOD +

A respectable example of fragile cover which retains a bright & clean front panel bearing a few small 'thumbnails' & an unavoidable light disc impression from storage. There is light shelfwear to the lower corners but no heavy bumps or bruising to any. There is a 2.5 cm repaired tear to the rear opening edge but the rear panel itself is clean & unblemished. The spine is unworn & retains all of its wording. There is a tiny 5mm rub to the upper seam, both are fully intact and unsplit. No original inner-sleeve is present.
