It had it's knockers at the time...for sure. But I'd argue it's an under the radar classic. And collectability wise - it doesn't get any better than this...a cult classic.>>>
An original 1st press from 1967. Matrix 5k/6k. Note the deep groove - this signifies 1st pressing. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover and it is the 3D lenticular version. PLEASE NOTE the cover is actually MONO..only mention is down in the bottom at the back. When the cover is original and is this well preserved - I'd argue - a small compromise. With the original inner sleeve. So,100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In really nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. There's a couple of light marks observable and one superficial trail...nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation per side. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. This is a seriously impressive pressing. The Stereo copies - true 1st - are hard to find period. Clean player - even more tricky! The 'Rainbow' track plays superb - almost totally clean ....which is a real hard find. Basically it is acing it throughout. Even the lowkey tinkering moments. Absolutely love it. I'm struggling to find fault. At worst just a few crackles in one brief spot per side. A couple of ticks in one spot per side. Overall - SUPERB. Hard not to be impressed.
Cover (Ex) In great condition and has been carefully looked after. That lenticular often contorts and starts to perish or crack - not here. This particular example is in very nice shiny and clean CONDITION.. There's a crease minor running down left side top to bottom...minor and does not affect rigidity at all. The rear is practically perfect and flat. Hardly any edge wear. Interior is really nice with just slight rippling on right opening [no biggy].The spine is in excellent order with all text fully legible and precious little wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Very fragile - prone to ageing and splitting. But this example is in excellent order. Hardly any ageing and no splits.
