The Rolling Stones - Their Satanic Majesties Request
(Decca TXL 103 UK LP 1967)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated Mono gatefold sleeve which has a 3D picture panel on the front. The sleeve is printed by "Robert Stace". It comes with its original "psychedelic smoke" inner sleeve. This is printed on paper. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has turquoise blue "unboxed" Decca labels. These are grooved also. The record has ARL-8126-T2-3K and ARL-8127-T2-3K matrix numbers. A genuine UK Mono 1st pressing of this 1967 Psychedelic Rolling Stones LP. It is complete with the original inner sleeve too. Complete UK copies are getting scarce nowadays. This is a serviceable copy too.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is a 5.5 cm area of moderate rubbing wear at the centre of the spine (see photo). There is light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear on the bottom edges on some areas. There is light, very mild or very minor rubbing wear on the top edges on some areas. There mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. Overall, Very Good condition
Vinyl: There are mild, more moderate or moderate sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There are approximately 8 or 9 light hairline surface marks. These measure from 1 cm to 4 cm in length. Overall, Good+ condition. The labels are in Very Good condition. There is a small name written on both labels in blue biro. It is not too noticeable against the blue of the label. It is more noticeable in the photos than to the naked eye. Otherwise, there is some more moderate spindle wear.
The "psychedelic" inner sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. The glue has come partially unstuck at the seam of one side. This measures 12 cm. It could be easily re-stuck if desired. There is one very small 1 cm tear at this area too. There are no actual seam splits. Otherwise, there is light, mild or very mild ringwear & creasing.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good overall & Very Good+ in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in the background to a varying degree. It is only noticeable in the quieter places. It never overpowers the music. There are about 14 light or very mild clicks on the "snoring" intro before "2000 Man" on Side 1. There are a few areas of more moderate crackle on Side 2. Again, it never overpowers the music. Overall, a serviceable UK original Mono copy.
I shall place the record into a separate plain inner sleeve during transit. This will protect the actual inner sleeve from any further damage.
