Description

Rolling Stones 'The Slicer' Live Double Album

  • Originally released as 'Garden State 78', this double album was purchased personally in the States in February 1981, as indicated by the date handwritten on the inner bag at the time.
  • The record itself is a stereo soundboard recording of the band's complete concert staged on June 14th 1978 at Passaic, New Jersey. 
  • Although the album has no identifiable record label, for info the etched matrix/run-off numbers are 3857 A/B/C/D (see photos). 
  • As illustrated, sides A & B have a green label, with sides C & D in gold. Side 1 has '#1' either printed or hand written on the label.
  • The condition of the vinyl is very good, and although a little grubby from the black print artwork, the cover is also in very good condition. The wrap-around cover is pink, in contrast to the blue found on other versions of this release.
  • Dedicated collectors of the band will no doubt be familiar with the precise history of this recording, and this particular pressing would make a fine addition to any Stones' completists' collection!
