Greetings my friends,
Up for sale is a truly nostalgic and intriguing item, an original London 45 single for Street Fighting Man/No Expectations and a clean, near-mint reproduction sleeve of the original picture sleeve. Love this item but downsizing my music collection.
So as to avoid any confusion, this picture sleeve is a reproduction. It looks simply wonderful. Take a glance at the photos - a truly close to accurate reproduced representation of the original banned London sleeve. What a kick isn't it? 1968 era and Beggars Banquet got the band into a lot of trouble. The album cover image for Beggars AND this single picture sleeve were deemed repulsive by London Records.
In regards to this picture sleeve, London began destroying the sleeve almost immediately once the image of police brutality was seen. As you likely know, experts predict only a few more than a dozen exist (or have existed). That's why this repro just looks awesome and a nice homage to the original.
The sleeve itself is in near mint condition. The record has some wear. I bought it from someone who described it as VG (inaccurately). While there are no playback issues - no skips and no repeats, the vinyl truly deserves a G+ grade. Decent playback free of defects but many visible scratches on the record. I try to show this in an extra final picture. Many scattered scratches visible under light.
Accounting for the visible wear on record, I will price this repro sleeve and 45 at a standard starting price of a 7" single.
