Satanic Majesties Request
A genuine, first UK pressing, of this monumental Stones classic. Matrix confirms the authenticity of this very first pressing ,where 1P was incorrectly etched on run off of the vinyl, and another number 1, was feebly hand etched after the P, to rectify .Has become very difficult for collectors to locate examples of this blatant matrix error. Only the very first pressings were produced with the incorrect matrix . A very elusive and highly collectable album release.

Vinyl
Thick, heavyweight giant . Only a few surface marks/minor scratches visible on both sides. Retains an excellent, reflective sheen . Pleasing visual-see pics .
Labels
Sky blue with silver text. Few spindle lines visible. No lifting or mottling. Excellent wide ridge open Decca label format. The earliest label issue of this great rock classic.
Audio
Tones reign supreme! No sticks nor jumps. Distant static very occasional mainly during the opening grooves, and only one solitary pop detected during play, but any surface disturbance remains distant and does little to interfere with the general music presentation. With that extra loud cut from a UK MONO first press, the audio is very pleasing and is graded side 1 very good/very good+ .Side 2 very good+/excellent- .Tones have that extra loud cut that only these very first pressings can convey! Should not disappoint! Cautiously graded.
Sleeve
3D picture with opening gatefold sleeve . 3D picture excellent- with just one hairline scratch visible . No rips nor tears, no maze graffiti. Ex condition with outer/inner faces displaying no damage .
Inner red sleeve excellent- ,with no seam splits but a slight nick on opening edge.. Coloration still strong .Superb exhibit.
Overall a very good/++ example of a very scarce mono release becoming more and more difficult to locate . Worth a bid . Treat yourself-you deserve it!
