Rolling Stones ORIG US LP Goats head soup EX ’73 COC59101 + Insert Blues Rock

Original US LP COC59101 . This album has a gatefold sleeve. Matrix numbers: ST-RS-732933-B PR/ ST-RS-732934-E PR. Comes with printed lyric inner bag and goats head soup insert both in Excellent condition.
Sliding out of perhaps the greatest winning streak in rock history, the Stones slipped into decadence and rock star excess with Goats Head Soup, their sequel to Exile on Main St. This is where the Stones' image began to eclipse their accomplishments, as Mick ascended to jet-setting celebrity and Keith slowly sunk deeper into addiction, and it's possible hearing them moving in both directions on Goats Head Soup, at times in the same song. As Jagger plays the devil (or, dances with Mr. D, as he likes to say), the sex and sleaze quotient is increased, all of it underpinned by some genuinely affecting heartbreak, highlighted by "Angie." This may not be as downright funky, freaky, and fantastic as Exile, yet the extra layer of gloss brings out the enunciated lyrics, added strings, wah-wah guitars, explicit sex, and violence, making it all seem trippily decadent.

Tracks: Dancing with Mr. D/ 100 yearsd ago/ Coming down again/ Doo doo doo doo doo (heartbreaker)/ Angie/ Silver train/ Hide your love/ Winter/ Can you hear the music/ Star star.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that cause some a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Gatefold cover has a small sticker on back top edge, a name written on front top right and a few tiny surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.

Payment is accepted by Paypal. Within Australia we also accept Direct deposit transfer and Australia Post Money Orders.
