Rolling Stones MFSL Limited Edition Box  Set - Serial # 1326 - Mint / Near Mint Condition

This rare and numbered box set is in mint / near mint condition and comes from my personal collection. All known less than mint conditions are listed in the description and included in the images.

This set includes the following albums:

Original paper materials:


1. Registration certificate
   
2. Original Master Recordings - The Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Catalogue 1984 Volume II
   
3. Large envelope with "The Rolling Stones" printed in large red letters which is also designated as 1326, handwritten in red ink, corresponding with the number on the metal plaque on the inside of the door of the box
   
4. Book with "Holographic" image
   
5. Also include is the original shipping box in which the set was delivered, and in which the set has remained stored for the past 20 years. The only exceptions being when I first received the set and on several occasions when I "looked" at them.

There is a modest  reserve which must be met before I will part with this set.

The known less than mint conditions are focused on two paper items.

1. One of the red LP sleeves has an area on the bottom approximately 5 inches long which was also present when I received them. It can be seen in one of the images included below. I am unsure of what it is. It appears to be a residue which has darkened over the past 20 years.

    

2. The book with the  applied holographic image cover appears wrinkled from where the "holographic" image was originally attached.

All other items should be considered MINT.

Please note that the following were stated on the Limited Warranty card and should be considered as still applying to the lucky recipient of this set.

Note: The preciseness of our half-speed mastering process will sometimes result in the alteration of the so-called "lead-out groove" on the vinyl disc. The result, on automatic turntables, is that the tone arm will not automatically reject at the end of play of a par­ticular side. This cannot be considered a defect in terms of quality control.

Reminder: We do not de-horn our metal parts in order to prevent damage to high frequencies and transients. It may be necessary to play this disc several times, with your stylus acting as a polishing tool, to eliminate random pops and ticks. Brush carefully before and after each play!

Mis-alignment of arm and cartridge and / or improper tracking force causes most skipping. This also contributes to increased levels of surface noise, distortion and excessive record and stylus wear.

Original shipping box viewed from the top...

Booklet... shows warping however all is clean and the inside is pristine. I have no idea why the paper around the plastic holographic image is distorted. I do not recall it being like this when I first received it.
