ROLLING STONES - BEGGARS BANQUET - 1968 - MONO - DECCA LK4955
Original Mono 1st press of the classic (and in my opinion, best) Rolling Stones, Beggars Banquet album.
It is in Mono and has the original maroon "ffrr" centre label. The serial number is LK4955 (later presses were XARL-8477-2A and XARL-8476-6A and had blue labels). I cannot stress how rarely these come up for sale!
The condition is excellent considering it's 37 years of age and has an off white cover. I will try to list as best I can to avoid any dissapointment but don't be put off as these are minor.There are a couple of minor creases (about 1 inch long) on the spine and some minor wear to the edges and corners. Otherwise there are NO tears, watermarks or discolouration of the cover. The A side centre label has a small circular darker mark (about 1/2 inch across) probably made by glue from a sticker.
The vinyl is in excellent condition with only some slight surface marks. It plays with almost no pops or crackles. However there is one skip on "Dear Doctor" but that kind of thing is part and parcel for a record of this age.
