Description
Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and a 2 MIL poly inner sleeve.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played. I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.
- This copy has never been played. It is pressed on thick vinyl.
- This is a one-owner that the Seller got new in his store in 1970. He says that this and other bootlegs he got back then were primarily made available by "Traveling Salesmen" who criss-crossed the USA selling these bootlegs directly to small, independent record stores. The chain stores wouldn't touch the bootlegs for fear of reprisal from the record companies.
- This is different than other versions because the 2 white labels on the record are blank.
- However, I was able to match up the matrix runouts with those in the Notes below.
- The plain white, single piece board cover has tight seams and shows some storage wear. The title is stamped 3 times in red, blue and green on the front cover.
- The inner sleeve is die-cut white paper. I have included a soft poly inner sleeve.
- This one-owner copy has been in storage for 47 years.
