The Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed stereo Lp Japan first issue pressing.  Comes with the rare multi-page fold out poster completely intact, contained only with the gatefold cover first issue.  Also included is the rare Obi.  This is the extremely rare white label promo issue, in superb condition all around.

Inner Sleeve Condition

Original clear plastic “U” shaped Japanese inner sleeve, as new, Near Mint.

(I have always stored the record in an MFSL-type poly-plastic inner sleeve).

Gatefold Cover Condition

First issue gatefold cover in Near Mint condition.

NO seam splits, NO edge wear, NO writing, NO spots, all spine text fully readable, NO ring-wear. 

Poster (with Lyrics) condition

The 5-panel Poster with lyrics inside the gatefold is securely attached and in “unused” condition.  A Beautiful Near Mint example.

Obi Condition

The rare and elusive Obi is in superb Near Mint condition.  The re-order tag on the back in completely intact.

Label Condition

Beautiful bright white labels in Near Mint condition, with NO spindle marks on either label.  Note that these SLC-300 pre-production promotional labels did not yet bear the production trademark phrase “Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound” or contain any mention of the “King Record Co.”

Record Condition

The record is in Near Mint condition.  No marks of any kind on the vinyl when examined under a bright light, a “like new” archive-quality example.  Promotional Rolling Stones items are highly collectible, but an original white label promo issue of an album of this magnitude and popularity, in this kind of condition, is nothing short of amazing.

Please notice in the pictures that this promotional issue has a “deep groove” label.  It is also a heavy-weight/thick record (feels like 180g).  It is much heavier than the “standard” (i.e. non-promotional) issue of SLC-300.  This white label promo is a rare offering in so many ways, and a complete promotional 1st issue example of “Let it Bleed” has to be considered one of the Top 10 most desirable Lp’s of the entire classic rock era. 

The other Rolling Stones albums are occasionally available as white label promos, even “Beggars Banquet” is sometimes offered, but I have never seen another “Let it Bleed” as a first issue promo offered anywhere, in any condition.

This album has been safely stored in a heavy outer plastic protective cover.

…A required album for any Rolling Stones fan, a super-rare original 1st press promo example!

AMG Review - 5 Stars

Mostly recorded without Brian Jones — who died several months before its release (although he does play on two tracks) and was replaced by Mick Taylor (who also plays on just two songs) — this extends the rock and blues feel of Beggars Banquet into slightly harder-rocking, more demonically sexual territory. The Stones were never as consistent on album as their main rivals, the Beatles, and Let It Bleed suffers from some rather perfunctory tracks, like "Monkey Man" and a countrified remake of the classic "Honky Tonk Woman" (here titled "Country Honk"). Yet some of the songs are among their very best, especially "Gimme Shelter," with its shimmering guitar lines and apocalyptic lyrics; the harmonica-driven "Midnight Rambler"; the druggy party ambience of the title track; and the stunning "You Can't Always Get What You Want," which was the Stones' "Hey Jude" of sorts, with its epic structure, horns, philosophical lyrics, and swelling choral vocals. "You Got the Silver" (Keith Richards' first lead vocal) and Robert Johnson's "Love in Vain," by contrast, were as close to the roots of acoustic down-home blues as the Stones ever got. - by Richie Unterberger

Domestic (USA) Packaging:

You will see from my eBay feedback that I package very securely.  Open albums can have the Lp’s removed from jackets (helps to prevent seam-splits during shipping) upon request.  Sealed albums will be carefully “sandwiched” between two pieces of cardboard and taped tightly enough to prevent the record from sliding back-and-forth inside the sealed cover to help prevent seam-splits during shipping.  I have not had any problems with damaged records or covers as a result of my packaging, but I do recommend Insurance on the more expensive items. 

Priority Shipping to the U.S.

I do not charge a "Handling" fee, Priority shipping calculations will be made using the USPS website  (http://postcalc.usps.gov/) based on your Zip code.

Payment for U.S. Buyers:

Money Orders are preferred (checks will have to clear before shipment).  Paypal is accepted.  I will contact the winning bidder directly with a detailed Invoice.  Insurance is always offered as an option.
