Description
This is a rare and highly sought-after record set from the iconic band, The Rolling Stones. The Hot Rocks 1964 - 1971 2PS 606/7 Shelley Mispress Vinyl features classic rock hits from the band's early years. The record is in very good plus (VG+) grading, while the sleeve is in very good (VG) grading.
This LP is a compilation with original insert "211 Reasons Why", original inner sleeve, and original cover. It is a must-have for any rock music collector or fan of the Rolling Stones. The vinyl is black in color and has a speed of 33RPM. This record set was released in the United States in 1971 under the London record label.
This version, considered a mispress, contains alternate versions of tracks D3 "Brown Sugar" and D4 "Wild Horses", that were originally used in the 1970 documentary "Gimme Shelter".
The mispress of the Shelley pressing can be recognized by the cutting date 11-18-71 etched in the runouts (the regular release of The Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks 1964-1971 was recut on 12-06-71). This particular set has the correct 12-6-71 dates cut out on the runouts so it should contain the correct versions of the re-recorded songs on side 4. Artist name just "Rolling Stones" on labels.
