Rolling Stones Hot Rocks 11/18/71 Shelley w/Alt. BROWN SUGAR & WILD HORSES.
Side 2 and Side 4 contain the 11-18-71 handwritten matrix markings on this true first mispressing. I tried to photo the dates in the last two photos.
PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION
Vinyl Grading: (All vinyl is cleaned on a VPI HW17 and housed in new poly sleeves.)
GOLDMINE STANDARDS
Side 1-3 are VG/VG+ with a small amount of light surface scratches, nothing feelable and less than 10 per side. None of the very light marks are audible.
HOWEVER, Track 1 on side four “Midnight Rambler” has a scratch that plays through, but cuts it down from an 8 minute song to a six minute song. It skips ahead one groove for about 3/4 of the way through the song.
The good news is that “Midnight Rambler” is the only track that plays with any disturbances. The other 3 tracks including “Wild Horses” and “Brown Sugar” play perfectly.
I will play grade side 4 song by song:
Midnight Rambler: Poor
You Can’t Always Get What You Want: VG+
Brown Sugar: VG+
Wild Horses: VG+
Cover: VG/VG-, moderate storage wear, a 2” split on the center of the spine, no other splits or tears. There is ring wear. The original inners are included, but the vinyl has been stored in new poly sleeves.
