Description

An original 1st press on the UK Decca label. Matrix 1W/1W - very first iteration. Worth insisting on an early copy of this famous live LP as pressing quality deteriorated somewhat on later copies. Early copies are pressed heavier and the labels are identifiable by the wider body text employed - which is most clearly visible on the album title. The early copies also came housed in a fully laminated cover [back and front] - which significantly improves preservation on this title. This copy was printed by Robert Stace. Also included, here, is the original blue and white Decca inner sleeve. Note how it is dated 07-70..That's July 1970 two months prior to 1st release of this title. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are super quiet and the audio comes across with super clarity. A top level player - don't short change yourself with a later pressing. Go early..go heavy pressed. This truly is a cracking live album which reveals just how sharp the Stones were at the height of their powers. The only deviation is during 'Stray Cat Blues'....I picked out a couple of minor ticks...and precious little else. Clean as you could possibly hope for, and consistently clean. You might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side - but little else. Even in  'Love In Vain'... it plays clean as a whistle - this is a really hard find. Overall an absolute top-level copy....you'll really struggle to equal it, let alone better it.
Cover (Ex+) An amazing cover which has clearly been looked after very carefully down the years. Lovely clean and flat and shiny front which has totally avoided the ageing process....just two tiny thumbnail creases on the right side. The rear is just unbelievable without a whiff of ageing - and I cannot make out a single crease! Barely any edge wear at all and very sharp openings. The spine is 100% intact - perfect! Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A beautiful looking original example. FINAL UPGRADE
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing and no splits. Small mark at the foot.
