Description

Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.

Grading is based on visual inspection.

Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.

  • This is different than the other copies of this title that I have seen. It has blank labels, pink on one side and yellow on the other. However, the matrix info on the record matches the matrix info below.
  • Etched in the dead wax is "Catch Me If You Can".
  • This record is in Mint Condition. It does not appear to have ever been played.
  • The white paper on board cover has the cover photo glued onto it.
  • The original paper sleeve is included. I have added a soft poly inner sleeve.
  • This was recorded at The Scope in Norfolk, VA on July 5, 1972.
  • This is a one-owner that the Seller got new in his store in 1972. He says that this and other bootlegs he got back then were primarily made available by "Traveling Salesmen" who criss-crossed the USA selling these bootlegs directly to small, independent record stores. The chain stores wouldn't touch the bootlegs for fear of reprisal from the record companies.
