Description

Title: Exile On Main Street 

Artist: Rolling Stones 

Catalog: USA Rolling Stones Records COC 2-2900, issued 1972, Richmond Indiana pressing (RI) Unipak Jacket. 

Jacket: VG+ due to some discoloring on the top edge (see pics). The jacket is totally intact, no splits, surface wear or cuts. Original unipak jacket with custom inner sleeves (NO Postcards). LP's will be placed in generic inner sleeves for shipment. 

LP: Visual stunning near mint all four sides !! Incredible condition for this vintage issue. I actually did play side one after the standard VPI cleaning and it played dead quiet! I then played B3 “Sweet Black Angel” and the guitar and percussion sound amazing on this stripped down track! This is one of the tracks that was recorded in the basement of the villa Neillcote where they holed up in the south of France. You can hear the natural reverb of Mick’s vocals bouncing off the cement walls. Beautiful copy rare in this condition!!

Notes: Exile on Main St. is the tenth British and twelfth American studio album by the English rock band The Rolling Stones, released on 12 May 1972 by Rolling Stones Records. Recording began in 1969 in England during sessions for Sticky Fingers and continued in mid-1971 at a rented villa in the South of France named Nellcôte while the band lived abroad as tax exiles.
