Description
...original Australian EXILE ON MAIN STREET 2LP records in EX- visual and EX+ playing condition...
...very, very nice original 2LP set with original cardboard inner sleeves...No postcards (but I am not even sure if they were included with the Australian pressing)...
...1st press WEA COC 2-2900 from 1972...
...Record 1 has Side 1 and Side 4; Record 2 has Side 2 and Side 3 - this is because it was manufactured for automatic changer record players (which were popular until the mid-1970's)...the EMI 1978 re-issue has Side 1 and Side 2 on Record 1 and Side 3 and Side 4 on Record 2; if I remember correctly...
...clean labels of course...
...this 2LP set weighs 800g when packed...
...overall grade (cover/record) EX-/EX
This LP record has been played in full immediately before listing with an Ortofon stylus and cartridge on a Pro-Ject Debut III turntable (which is an entry level turntable to audiophile sound).
It is a pre-condition of bidding and winning any of my music auctions that the winner indemnifies me from responsibility for uninsured/unregistered items lost or broken in the post. I will never again be held to ransom by fellow ebayers who choose to blame me for Australia Post's less than wonderful delivery service.
Sincerely,
Peter (originalsound)

UK RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deteroration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised or Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
Grading can be fine tuned by adding + or -. As a rule sleeves/covers are graded first, eg. EX+ / MINT - (Cover/Record)
