NEAR MINT and virtually unmarked under ordinary light! No ugly marks, nor scratches , nor ugly blemishes ! Only the faintest of sleeve removal hairlines, hardly visible . Unbelievable condition . Thickly pressed , heavy weight giant with virtually unmarked surfaces under ordinary light. Staggering sheen and looks like it has just come off the press. Ultra clean and looks simply stunning. Under a strong very bright halogen, the usual natural hairlines visible .This is pure investment quality as the indications are that this record has been played 3 or 4 times MAX so how rare is this for collectors! IMPOSSIBLE to locate in this sensational condition.

Labels

Red open Decca label format confirming the very first pressing of the 4.06 Tell Me version . The fascinating difference with this record is the label which has no ridged effect on outer rim which is so common on these Decca pressings. Hardly any found with this variant from this release so ultra rare and side 1 label is NEAR MINT ,so pristine and unable to locate a spider line, perhaps the lightest of traces…

Side 2 label an extremely light spindle trace confirming a minimal playing history as most are found heavily marked with numerous spindle lines and these are absolutely near perfection!

Awesome ! No other word to sum up this aural delivery !This is the first pressing of the 4.06 version of Tell Me and what a delivery. From my Cambridge hi fi /project turntable on high volume , the tones are unbelievable, each track delivered through near silent channels , even between tracks !! The monotone perspective cuts each note with a definitive edge. Cannot praise this aural delivery enough and must be the best example in existence today ,as there is no crackle nor hissing, and  the clarity of the channels is remarkable, giving no distortion, so often detected from these releases, which were  played and played by heavy styli, which produced massive groove wear and surface damage. This vinyl conveys a near mint aural delivery and I doubt whether one will find better than this example.

Album sleeve

ULTRA FRESH and an ULTRA CLEAN feel !!!!!

First issue MacNeill Press printed !To put the icing on an already very rich cake, the cover is the best I have seen though it is not perfect, but the feel and visual appeal make up for the imperfections. Ex, non flip back sleeve, perhaps could grade higher as the ultra clean reverse is exceptional and very, very rare. This sleeve has had the lightest handling history and is impossible to locate like this. The thick, laminated coat on front face has a super gloss and a serene, smooth touch. Faults are a slight tear on opening edge 0.5 cms and minor damage on lower spine causing some lift, and  an aperture to be just visible. Minimal ring wear only. Crease top left corner. Apart from lower spinal damage , just one or two rough laminate splits but title is clearly visible and the tapered ends of the spine give the cover a well balanced appearance. One of the best examples of this cover which is normally found heavily soiled and poor condition. Again a remarkable exhibit.
