THE EARLIEST issue of this HUGE Stones’ classic !

 

Audio

Great playing copy ! No serious problems . No audible scratches to mention. No repeats and no sticks, nor jumps. A great bargain, on offer here. Despite being well played, the delivery is at least very good and considerably better in some parts, for the majority of play. There is surface noise between tracks and the opening grooves/quieter parts of the music, but tones rise above any disturbance to give a decent delivery. I detected no audible clicks, nor ticks during play , which is quite rare on this release. Last three tracks of side 2, give a little more surface noise in the background, than the rest of play, ( dips to VG-/good+) but generally, a very enjoyable listen. A decent playing example.

 

Sleeve

1st issue gatefold sleeve with stapled booklet in good condition as per RRPG catalogue . Wear showing on top/lower edges of spine .Laminated front/rear covers in good condition. Reverse has a tiny nick on lower edge. Collector’s item, with spine clearly showing title. Later issues had posters/pictures as insert  and not as a stapled attachment. Fantastic.  Booklet has become partially detached , as staples are slightly disengaged from  gatefold sleeve. Tear visible on one page of booklet approx. 4cms.

 

Labels

Sky blue, mono , with silvery text. No hand writing and in very good condition, showing many spindle lines . No damage e.g. no rips, nor tears , nor any mottling etc.

 

Vinyl

Matrices 2A/4A Vintage tax codes KT inscribed .

Surfaces very good , showing several surface marks/light surface scratches when held against a strong light,but none of these marks appear to cause any aural affectation !!! Lovely mirror like sheen. Thickly pressed , heavyweight feel . A great vintage classic.
