General Info About the LP

Between the Buttons is the fifth UK album by The Rolling Stones, released in 1967.

This stereo Decca LP, SKL 4852, is different from their previous work, having been produced when the band were moving away from their traditional R&B roots. Brian Jones experiments with electric and acoustic guitars, sitar, recorder, piano, trumpet, trombone, banjo and kazoo as well as singing backing vocals. It reached #3 in the UK, and was the last album produced by Andrew Loog Oldham, since he and the Stones had a creative falling out later in 67.

It's an eclectic mix and a unique album from the band. Between the Buttons was ranked 355 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Personally, this LP is one of my favourites from the Stones, the music being more consistent.

Cover

The cover is in excellent condition, with a tiny amount of wear on the tips of the spine, and a little mark about halfway down. The opening edge is worn but not torn, and the back of the cover has some marks where the record was slid from between other albums. Apart from this, the cover is strong and clean.

Sleeve

The poly-sleeve is creased across one corner, apart from this it has indents and is slightly yellowed. 

Vinyl

I have listened to the album all through, and there is no background noise, pops or crackles. The surface has a couple of light scuff marks, but certainly nothing which affects the sound in any way. The LP belonged to a gentleman who was very meticulous in the care of his LPs, especially the vinyl, so I am sure you will be pleased with your purchase.
