Description
Roland Haynes 2nd Wave Black Jazz 1975 BJQD/19. The only album by the great jazz-fusion keyboardist, this 1975 Black Jazz-label LP finds Roland teaming with musicians who had played with Gene Harris, Vince Guaraldi, Ornette Coleman, Chet Baker and more. Dueling electric pianos (Roland vs. Kirk Lightsey) make for some killer keyboard jams as you hear "Eglise," "Second Wave," "Descent," "Funky Mama Moose" and more. This is a keeper. It has been in my collection for years and never played. Yes, I disgraced it with a youthful vanity stamp including the record. The inner sleeve is yellow and the jacket shows handling marks, but the disc is otherwise flawless.
