The Roland EG-101 gives you easy and intuitive access to real-time dance performance features to create up-to-date dance floor tunes and grooves.
448 Phat Sounds
Drawing on Roland + char(39) + s vast range of genuine dance sounds, the EG-101 sounds just right. It has all those killer sounds you know from the hottest dance tracks around.
64 Customisable Styles
To get you started there are 64 onboard dance styles ready-programmed - including House, Dance, Techno, Big Beat, Drum + char(39) + n + char(39) + Bass, Hip-Hop and World.
D-Beam Controller
The D-Beam controller senses your hand movements using an invisible beam of infrared light. It allows you to shape the sound, apply effects, bend notes and play musical scales.
Onboard sampling with full sync functions
The EG-101 can quickly and easily sample and loop external audio sources. With the ability to add effects, it + char(39) + s easy to make powerful breakbeats, and the Tap button allows easy sync to the BPM of vinyl or CDs. There is also an amazing "Autosync" function for automatically locking the BPM of your sampled loops to the internal tempo of the EG-101.
RPS: Real-time Phrase Sequencing
In addition to the 64 styles, there are also hundreds of dance phrases ready to be triggered and combined into thousands of new dance tracks. Rhythm grooves, bass lines etc can be triggered by pressing a key and will play in perfect sync.
Real-time Sound Tweaking
Especially designed for real-time performance, the EG-101 allows real-time control of sounds just by selecting a track and using three dedicated knobs. You will be able to instantly apply dramatic Filter sweeps as well as Resonance effects and you + char(39) + ll be able to produce impressive Panning movements in sync with the BPM.
Microphone Input
With a dedicated Mic input it + char(39) + s easy to add vocals and alter them beyond belief with dedicated Ring-Mod and Filter effects.
