Description
Rodriguez -Cold Fact Sussex SXBS 7000 (USA 1970)
Condition: Record: EX-, Cover: VG+
I would rate the sound as EX- (Ex minus). Some low level static mainly that a professional clean should remedy. With all the imperfections I would rate the cover overall as VG+
This is the original issue of this legendary album.
It is definitely the original issue. The record cover is hard board with stuck on back cover and heavy duty vinyl. It has the dead wax SXBS 7000 A/B , SON (Etched) and Stirling (stamped)
Condition report: When I bought the album 15 years ago, it came in an opened shrink. I removed the shrink 3-4 years ago. The right edge had been exposed, so there is some ageing (see photos) on the right side. The top right of the cover has a 1.5 inch split. The bottom right of the cover is starting to split. Please check all photos
The record itself could do with a professional clean. It has a few superficial marks and streaks, but no real scratches. It is more from the record having been stored for a long time, then due to any play. The labels do not have any spindle marks, but there is some bubbling of the labels.
I have tried to show all imperfections in the photos so please check these. If you require any more photos, please let me know. I usually sell singles, but I have done my best to give the most accurate and detailed condition report for this LP
I have also made full sound clips of the first 2 and a half songs on each side, including the gaps between tracks so please judge the audio for yourself.

Grading. I don’t use the term Mint. I don’t believe that records manufactured over 30 years ago, even if unplayed, can be called mint.
Grading: Record/Cover
EX: Means either “near mint” to some light very marks with hardly any noticeable noise. Sleeve has no or only minor wear.
VG: Means means some light noticeable background sound and more pronounced marks which do not affect the listening experience in a major way. Sleeve may be creased, minor discolouring, the odd fraying, some ringwear, seam split and perhaps some writing.
G: Means noticeable clicks or pop, may have scratches, but doesn’t skip or jump. Sleeve may be ripped, tape repair, large writing, sticker removal damage etc...
Fair: Not a pleasant listening experience, the disc is damaged, just a stop gap before upgrading. Sleeve is badly damaged, not one to frame on the wall...
Poor: I don’t sell records in poor condition
All records sent out in professional mailers with 2 stiffeners. Records removed from sleeve if housed in picture sleeve.
I retain proof of postage for all items. High value packages will be insured. Insurance at cost
