Rod Stewart & The Faces Double Vinyl Album 1977 + 4 CD Box Set With 60 Booklet.

The Faces are considered by many to be the ultimate good time rock band and their sloppy sometimes drunken antics on stage were a million miles away from the polished shows of their front man Rod Stewart around the mid 1970’s (especially after he started going out with Britt Ekland and wearing straw boaters) but for around 5 years the band that grew from the Ashes of The Small Faces & The Jeff Beck Group were the go to band for a good night out and produced some brilliant music!

01. The Faces - The Best Of The Faces released in 1977 on Riva Records as a double vinyl album. I somehow ended up with 2 copies of this I think one was a present and this copy has hardly been played the vinyl looks mint but while it’s been stored it’s stuck to something on the back and there is a small half circle mark it’s not that bad and is no where near the writing the gatefold sleeve contains full notes on the band and the inner sleeves are plain white.

There are 20 tracks including: Maybe I’m Amazed, Had Me A Real Good Time, Memphis, Stay With Me, Cindy Incidentally, Pool Hall Richard and many more.

The sleeve is in VG Condition if it was not for the mark on the back mentioned earlier it would be Ex, no writing, no rips or tears, no creasing and no marks or fingerprints especially on the inside where it’s cream and would easily Mark if someone was reading the notes. The 2 white inner sleeves are Good Condition they have a few creases where they have been put back in but they are just plain white paper, Vinyl in Ex Condition, I’ve just doubled checked and held both records up to the light and there is not one mark on any of the 4 sides, it looks like it’s hardly if ever been played (as said I have 2 copies and still to this day play the other one) the 2 discs look like recent re releases not 44 year old records!

02. The Faces - Five Guys Walk Into A Bar, Limited Edition 4 CD deluxe Set with 60 Page Booklet set in the style of a hardback book. Released on Rhino Records in 2004 and purchased and stored (I didn’t need to play the discs I’ve got 2 different Faces Greatest Hits on CD and the one above on vinyl plus a number of ‘Best Of’ records and CD’s by Rod Stewart) so this was stored with all my other new items I purchased in between 2002 and around 2014.

4 discs covering the bands complete life and including some Live Songs, Some Live at the BBC and a couple of rehearsals and an Alternative mix with a comprehensive 60 page booklet telling you everything you wanted to know about the band with lots of pictures some rare ones. A really nice set for a faces fan!

Includes the songs: Flying, Jealous Guy, Maggie May, Cindy Incidentally (Alternate Mix), Pool Hall Richard, (If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don’t Wanna Be Right, Had Me A Real Good Time, (I Know) I’m Losing You (Live At The BBC), Angel (Live At The BBC), I Wish It Would Rain (Live), Miss Judy’s Farm (Live At The BBC) and loads more ( there are 66 tracks)

The Book/Cover is in Ex/Mint Condition it was just put on the shelf and stored, the booklet is in Ex Condition, I never wanted to read it as it would cause the pages to crease when held open, All 4 CD’s in Mint Condition they have never even been taken out of the case.

A really nice bundle for any Rod/Faces fan.
