ROKY ERICSON~13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS~PSYCHEDELIC SOUNDS~ORIGINAL INTERNATIONAL ARTIST GREEN AND YELLOW LABEL~1967 MONO~RARE!!! 13th Floor Elevators-Psychedelic Sounds-1967 Mono Lp Rare Fronted by the legendary Roky Erickson, the 13th FLOOR ELEVATORS took Texas by storm in late 1965. Widely credited as the first band to call themselves "psychedelic, their live shows were extremely intense events and featured extended jams, romps and noodles... Perhaps some of the most original sounding music to come out of the 60's, Tommy Hall contributed to their eccentric sound by playing a custom jug! Their hit song YOU'RE GONNA MISS ME has become a cult classic for the psychedelic, punk and garage genres and climbed to # 55 on the national charts in late 1966. Like many bands of the era, the ELEVATORS made many pilgrimages to San Francisco and played quite a few gigs at the Fillmore & Avalon between 1966 and 1968. After some personnel changes, the band broke up for good in late 1968.

VINYL: VG+ showing light surface scratches. Visually graded which may or may not distract significantly from the sound.
COVER: VG. Cover shows some edge / shelf-wear / flaking along cover spine and partial spine separation. (WOC) also (WOL) side 2.  Back of cover shows light to moderate wear. Back cover slick shows yellowing with age. However slick still looks pretty much intact... Front slick shows writing (see pic). Goldmine list this Lp NM at $250.00 to $300.00.  Item sold as is
