Original mono pressing has a black label with silver print. CHESS LP 1425 in the lower left corner of the front cover. See pictures and you see exactly the copy you receive. The back cover has a little mathematics written on the back cover which is not terribly an eyesore or even very noticeable at first glance. Not anywhere on the front cover or record labels is there any other writing at all. The sound is wonderful and the small angel hairlines and whisps that can be seen under bright lights are superficial, and do not interfere with the sound or listening quality of the record. Normal background noise between tracks without any skips or loud pops are should be expected. Labels on the records are beautiful without writing. This LP is becoming increasingly difficult to find in any condition at all. Or it might be available, but at a much more expensive price in any record store or for sale by an individual collector.

There are two versions of album covers, the first has Chess LP 1425 in the lower left corner, the second has Chess LP 1425 in a white box at the upper right of the cover (label variations exist on this release)

Track A2 "Would I Be Lying" on label is wrong, "Would I Be Crying" on cover.

Track A3 "Maybelline" on label, "Mabellene" on cover is spelled wrong.

Track A4 "Sincerely" on label credits Chuck Berry is wrong, cover credits The Moonglows.

Track A5 "30 Days" on label, "Thirty Days" on cover.

This album was played many times and is guaranteed not to skip and any marks on this vintage obscure heavyweight vinyl are superficial and the sound is simply awesome.

Hi, the copy like yours with the lower left number is the very first issue from late 1956 as it has an older Chess address as you can see bottom back cover as the copies with the numbers upper right hand corner on the front cover are later issues with a new Michigan Ave address on back. Every copy after 1425 lp never had a cottage ave as an address on back only The Michigan ones from lp 1426 and onward . Nice record! Have the same issue.
