Description
This auction is for a "live cuts" record that appears to have been only used for a 1983 radio broadcast in New York City,NY.
The original vinyl protective sleeve is blank, but the radio program included with the record has been signed by Robert Plant, of the famous band "Led Zeppelin". The signature appears to have been done with a "bic" style pen, and I can only assume the radio host was doing an in-studio interview with Robert Plant when he got him to sign the piece.
I haven't done any specific research on the radio show or date to verify where led Zeppelin was touring at the time, but will update this posting as I gather information.
I have verified the signature as a live ink signature and referenced period examples of Robert plant's signature to confirm item as a genuine signature signed by Robert Plant, the lead singer of Led Zeppelin. I am therefore selling this item as guaranteed authentic signature by Robert plant and back up the sale with a return policy.
I know led Zeppelin signed vinyl is fairly rare, and this is a great one-of-a-kind find that any collector would be thrilled to own and display.
I'm not a record grader, so please don't use my grading of the album as set in stone. The record itself is in excellent shape with no major defects or serious scratching. If I had to guess, it was only played during the original airing of the radio show and then stored away carefully for 30+ years until I acquired it and played it once... So it's in great shape. Use the pictures as a guide to aid in grading. Enjoy this piece from a rock legend!
