Description
Up for bid is an unbelievably rare LP "Private Parts with settings for piano and orchestra by "Blue" Gene Tyranny" by Robert Ashley. I can honestly say I have never heard anything like it. It has a moog playing alongside a Tabla with spoken word recited over top. This was released by Lovely Music, Ltd. (LML 1001) in 1977. LP is a solid VG+, nearly a NM. There are a few very light, faint scuffs on side one near the beginning of the first song, with no spindle wear. LP is very clean and still retains a nice gloss. The jacket is VG+, no split seams. There is a small indention on the top seam near the middle. There is light corner wear on all four corners. Song list is as follows:

Centered around the mesmerizing voice of Robert Ashley, this early version (released on LP by Lovely Music in 1979) of The Park and The Backyard is a masterpiece in its simplicity of form and in the purity and intensity of its effect on the listener. These two pieces were later to become the opening and closing segments of the seven part opera for television, Perfect Lives.
