Rites of Spring - Debut LP - Dischord #16 harDCore punk emocore - 1985 First Pressing - Near Mint
This is the debut release from Rites of Spring, an eponymous full-length LP recorded in February 1985 and issued by Dischord in June 1985.
First pressing indicated as being "Made in U.K." on cover and labels. Includes printed inner sleeve with lyrics/photos. Also identiifiable thru matrix runout info. Please feel free to verify features of various release versions on Discogs if you have any concerns.
Overall condition is Near Mint. Vinyl is NM with some light scuffing. Sleeve is VG+/EX with just the beginnings of ring wear and residue from an old price sticker. Inner sleeve is NM, no evident flaws.

Named after the ballet and orchestral concert work The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky, Rites of Spring was among the first bands who played what would become known as "emocore." After their breakup in 1986, members went on to form Fugazi.
Grading is subjective, I am not a professional dealer. I try to place myself in the position of the buyer and be as accurate as possible, listing any notable defects.
Shipping in US via USPS Ground Advantage, it's a bit more expensive but you'll get it quicker with less likelihood of loss or damage. (The only shipments I've ever had "go missing" were sent Media Mail.) Shipping to other countries is via eBay International Shipping.
