Description
It’s a valuable rare collectible record so I’m going to be as detailed and clear as I can.
Record was cleaned on a Record Doctor machine. I listened to every second of both sides. Like sitting there with headphones really intensely listening. There is a scratch 1st song side one. You can see it in the pictures. So every time the needle passes it there’s a clearly audible click. Personally I don’t think it totally ruins the song but it is pretty bad. There’s a clicking through almost the whole song. The entire rest of side one there is audible “crackling” heard during the softer, quieter portions of the music, and between tracks. If you’re familiar with the songs, you know there’s many quieter portions so there is noise during all of them. When the music is more loud and rocking it’s fine.
Side two there is light minor crackling between tracks but not like side one. Side two is pretty much like simply listening to vinyl. There is noise here and there, it’s not a CD. But I’d consider side two to be excellent and it sounds great.
Gatefold sleeve has a very minor crease on the spine very minor creases in a couple other spots and that’s about it. Very good shape as seen in the pictures. Original inner sleeve is there.
Look, I’ve been selling a lot of records this past month and if you’ve already bought shit from me you know I’m honest and if there’s shit wrong with the item I’ll say so. My feedback is good. I’m a Morrissey fan like a lot of you out there, these are my personal records I’m not a dealer. There is a scratch, and there is background noise. So why not just buy a CD that will sound perfect every time you listen? Either you’re into vinyl and the type of sound a vinyl record has, or you aren’t. I have over a thousand fucking CDs I listen to CDs all the time but they don’t sound like a record sounds. Is this a perfect copy? No it is not. Is it still a pleasurable listening experience? I think so.
Besides all that, if you seriously collect Smiths and Morrissey vinyl then you need to have a copy of this album. It’s a rare item and since this one has some shit wrong with it I’m going to start it at an absurd low price. Good opportunity to get a copy for reasonable dollar amount.
