Description
Up for bid is a very rare folk/psych self titled LP by The Right of Little Rest, recorded in March 1976. This is an original US private press, with no indication of a label affiliation. LP is VG+, with very light scuffs on either side. There is no spindle wear. There is a light scratch on side 1 that extends through songs 2 & 3. I have played this LP, and it played through this area fine, with a little surface noise. Jacket is VG+, minor corner wear on all 4 corners. There is the beginning of seam splits at the top and bottom of the lip of the jacket, each tiny area extends about 1/4 inch from the lip towards the spine. There is light ring wear on the front and back. The back is blank with no art work. There is one tiny wear spot on the bottom seam of the jacket. There is light wear along the lip of the jacket. Included is an interior fold out lyric sheet, with no tears. I am very meticulous about detail, but all in all, this is a pretty amazing set! Some extra info about this LP from the internet:
"A REVIEWER WRITES: Obscure private communal psych LP from Wallingford, CT. Easygoin' rural jammy sounds with acoustic & electric guitars, flute, drums, organ, congas, etc. on tracks like "Kylescu Queen", "Calico Incantations", "Changing The I Into We"... all of which is well and good, but the biggest attraction here is the monster track "Am I Not The One", which sounds like it should have been recorded about about 8 years earlier...femme vocals, pummeling drums, loud guitar, organ, etc."
