Description

For your consideration is a high quality example of Ricky Hodges and the Funky People's 45, "Don't Destroy Our Love (Parts I and II)", which arrived via the Soul Kitchen in the early 1970s as catalog number AL-0015. This release, one of eight known from Mr. Hodges, was recorded at the now well-known Boddie Recording Company in Cleveland, Ohio.

I have owned this record for approximately a decade and have stored it upright in a poly-lined sleeve in a non-smoking, temperature and humidity controlled environment. Read on for detailed descriptions and samples of the record.

VINYL CONDITION: VG++ (very good plus plus) Visually, the record appears to be in remarkable condition for its age. It shows very few marks or scuffs as evidenced by the photos. There are no warps or bends to the disc. Sample each side for yourself.

SAMPLE PART I (60 seconds; 320kbps MP3)
SAMPLE PART II (60 seconds; 320kbps MP3)
LABELS' CONDITIONS: VG++ (very good plus plus) Side A looks impeccable with little-to-no signs of scuffing, tears, wear or marks. On the flip, strong light reveals very slight ring wear on the right side of the spindle/adapter hole. Please see the photos for details.

SHIPPING: This 45 will ship to U.S. winners via the USPS' Media Mail service. International winners will receive the record via USPS' First Class International service. Records will be packed in traditional cardboard record mailers.

GRADING: I use the Goldmine grading scale. http://www.goldminemag.com/collector-resources/record-grading-101
