Description
Up for auction is a great selection of some of Richard Taubers most popular recordings made on the Parlophone series of records in the later 1930s. I am a big fan and have collected these over a long period hence the size of the collection and completes the other collection in my other auction. All song titles and condition descriptions are listed below with most marks being very superficial in nature - a lightly declicked version (no noise reduction with 8-9kHz roll-off) can be heard playing in the background. I've got some photos below of all the records showing the surface, and a couple of the worst cases so you can get an idea of the conditions and my descriptions. Overall, these sound excellent through a standard premp (although, I've used a non-RIAA preamp for these recordings with a simple 250Hz turnover frequency). All records together weigh in at around 4kgs. As such, I will let the winning bidder decide how many of the titles they want. Feel free to check the postage cost from Adelaide 5000, from experience it will be up to $15 to post anywhere in Australia depending on location. Feel free to ask any questions regarding postage or songs etc and more than happy to allow local pick up and make other arrangements.
