SIMPLY SUPERB!
Unquestionably one of Reiner's most famous performances, the Zarathustra sessions in 1954 had been hailed as the birth of high-end stereo.
But, even Reiner, who everyone agreed was THE interpreter of Strauss, believed he could do better. And so a monstrous Mohr/Layton session was begun in 1962 to capture an audio prize beyond compare.
This is the re-mastered MFSL of that performance, specially plated and pressed on high-definition vinyl by Victor in Japan. To say that it is a blockbuster is simply not enough. It blows down doors with its capture of space, low-end, and the panoramic sweep of the 109-man orchestra. (Just find the right volume, please.)
A copy very fine indeed: Jacket remains crisp, with just a hint of corner nibble (nothing at all serious), while, within, the record should play near mint, perhaps better.
An historic classic, made even better.

Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $5, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
