Description
This auction is for the opened reel-to-reel tape titled “Richard Strauss – Death and Transfiguration – Reiner – Vienna Philharmonic†– CCS 28. I’ve tried to show the entire back in the pictures so that you can read the description and the list of music on this reel. If you have any questions or can’t see the pictures clear please email me.
This magnetic tape record is a dual track, stereophonic recording and must be reproduced on an in-line head, two channel, stereophonic reproducer, operating at 7 ½ inches per second. This is a RCA Victor Red Seal by Radio Corporation of America, 1957. The box is in good condition with small scuffmarks and discoloration from age. There are no tears. As far as I can tell the tape looks to be in good condition (I have tried to show this in the pictures). This tape is out of a large lot of tapes that I purchased. I don’t have a machine working to listen to them so I am selling them ‘as is’. I’ve taken pictures and will try to give an adequate description of the item. The high bidder will pay the actual cost of shipping plus $.60 for mailing confirmation: you can now use the shipping calculator (not for use if you are out of the US, please email me). Or if you want I will ship it media rate - the cost will be the actual cost plus $1.00 for the padded mailing envelope (subtract $1.00 for priority, I had to add it to the calculator because everyone was forgetting to add it to media rate when they paid). Media rate is less expensive but it can take longer (or not) for delivery. It can be up to 2 weeks or more. I will be glad to send you an invoice for the shipping that you pick out after the auction closes because the weight may be different between the two. Insurance is $1.35 – insurance is optional but suggested, as shipping is solely at the buyer’s risk – if not insured, after item is sent any loss and/or damage is not my responsibility (SO please if you don’t agree with this please do not bid on this auction). I will be glad to combine any of my auctions that you win to help save on shipping costs but you have to let me know that you are bidding on or have won more than one. Please notify me before paying and I will send you an invoice that combines them into one payment, this will save on fees through Paypal, if more than one payment is made through Paypal I will have to pass the extra fee on to you. I do prefer payment through Paypal – I receive my payment faster and you receive your item faster. But I also accept money orders, cashier checks and personal checks (with a delay for the check to clear the bank).
