This auction is for the opened reel-to-reel tape titled “Music For Hi-Fi Bugs†Pete Rugolo and his Orchestra – MDS3-1. This is taken off of the back – “Pete Rugolo was a famed composer-arranger before the day of hi-fi, but how much the jazz bug of that day never got to know about this remarkable young man! Rugolo is not so much a tunesmith as he is a sound-smith, an inventor of new moods, of striking new colors, arresting combinations. His imagination roves to the horizons of possibilities in extracting fresh voicings from standard and familiar instruments. While the impact on the ear of his sounds is that of a conversation-stopper, his techniques are subtle…â€. This is a 7-½ IPS stereo for stacked in-line heads. The box is in good condition with a few scuffmarks and one small tear on the back bottom edge; I have tried to show this in the pictures. The tape looks to be in good condition. This tape is out of a large lot of tapes that I purchased. I don’t have a machine working to listen to them so I am selling them ‘as is’. I’ve taken pictures and will try to give an adequate description of the item. If you have any questions or would like more pictures please e-mail me. I will refund if my description is inaccurate.
The high bidder will pay the actual cost of shipping: you can now use the shipping calculator. Or if you want I will ship it media rate - the cost will be the actual cost plus $1.00 for the padded mailing envelope (subtract $1.00 for priority, I had to add it to the calculator because everyone was forgetting to add it to media rate when they paid). Media rate is less expensive but it can take longer (or not) for delivery. It can be up to 2 weeks or more plus I can’t track media rate items if you do not put delivery confirmation on it, which is a very good idea - the cost is only $.60 and well worth it. Don’t ask me to track it if it doesn’t have delivery confirmation on it, it can’t be done. Insurance is $1.35 – insurance is optional but suggested, as shipping is solely at the buyer’s risk – if not insured, after item is sent any loss and/or damage is not my responsibility (I’ve argued about this before SO please if you don’t agree with this please do not bid on this auction). I will be glad to combine any of my auctions that you win to help save on shipping costs but you have to let me know that you are bidding on or have won more than one. Please notify me before paying and I will send you an invoice that combines them into one payment, this will save on fees through Paypal, if more than one payment is made through Paypal I will have to pass the extra fee on to you. I do prefer payment through Paypal – I receive my payment faster and you receive your item faster. But I also accept money orders, cashier checks and personal checks (with a delay for the check to clear the bank).
