Description

Up for sale is a cherished grail from my RHCP collection, Red Hot Chili Peppers Live In Hyde Park 4 LP Original Pressing Vinyl. This is the 2004 OG German pressing that was never released outside of Europe as far as I can tell. No public pressing count data exists, but these were not pressed in large numbers and are very rare to run across, especially in the US. This is NOT a bootleg!


I’m grading this as VG/VG but it’s possible that the vinyl would clean up to VG+ with an ultrasonic cleaning. Visually someone else might call this vinyl VG+ or NM, but I play test and note everything because that’s what I would like to see when buying! Detailed condition report below - happy to provide playback video clips upon request.


Sleeve: VG - Shows shelf wear, a few creases. and some ring wear. Front cover has reflective, foil import sticker from Warner. Inner sleeves are in better condition (VG+) but show some minor signs of handling.


Vinyl:

LP1 - Side A: Warp produces one audible hop during run in to T1. On my setup there is no additional impact to audio from the warp. The rest of the side plays clean.


LP1 - Side B: Warp produces 4-6 small audible ticks from the needle hopping during By the Way intro. The rest of the side plays cleanly.


LP2 - Side A: Light crackle during run in and Easily intro, but not audible during rest of song or side.


LP2 - Side B: Very light crackle under Brandy intro, barely audible during quiet passages.


LP3 - Side A: nothing of note


LP3 - Side B: Very light crackle under Flea intro to Parallel Universe.


LP4 - Side A: light crackle audible during quiet passages throughout the side, but most evident during UTB which is inherently a quiet track.


LP4 - B: light crackle during run in and lighter passages. Light ticks during guitar outro jam (~12min mark & ~15:30).


This is lengthy, but I’m generally disappointed with how lacking most sellers are with their descriptions.
