Red Garland at the Prelude Prestige 7170 mono LP. Deep groove pressing with Yellow and black fireworks labels, 203 So Washington Ave., Bergenfield N.J. address, and RVG on the trail-off wax.

Condition - Grading is Visual Under Bright Light

The cover is a very nice VG+. The front cover graphics are beautiful, vivid  and striking.  The corners show a little wear with the upper right corner a little dinged.  Seams are nice with no splits. The writing on the edge is sharp and clear. The back cover slick quite clean and bright with a stamp on the upper left corner. A beautiful example of this cover.

LP is a strong glossy VG+ with some light sleeve wear and a few hairlines, nothing feelable or serious on either side. Labels are clean and beautiful. A very pretty example of this rare Prestige LP, you will not see many nicer.

Overall not perfect or NM but not that far away, a beautiful example of a rare jazz LP. This copy should make most collectors very happy. Check out my other auctions for more rare and interesting records. Winning auctions may be combined to save postage cost. Check out my feedback for results of recent rare record auctions.

Grading

Grading is SS (still sealed), NM, VG+, VG. The myriad of grading systems on Ebay is a good indicator of the subjective nature of grading. In my opinion NM is close to perfect with one or two very minor flaws, VG+ is above average and collectable and VG is average used condition but probably the best choice for playing. I'm a collector and try to describe LPs as accurately as possible, the way I would want them described to me. The pictures should at least give a good indication of the condition of the covers and labels. Please see my seller feedback for comments on my grading. If you don't agree with how I'm calling a record that is your privilege but with all respect please don't bid.
