Description
Ray Pollard - The Drifter.
Original UK 7" 45rpm One Sided Acetate.
This Acetate was originally the property of Bernie Burgess who was Ruby Murray's first husband, in 1965 he was managing the British singer Dane Hunter who's real name was Colin York. Prior to "The Drifter" being relased in the UK by Ray Pollard is was offererd by the music publisher to Hunter to record for UK release, Hunter recorded a version of the song which was planned for release in late 1965 on CBS records but prior to release EMI decided to issue Pollard's version on United Artists and Hunter's version was shelved and to this day remains unreleased.
We also have an Acetate of the unreleased Dane Hunter version which we will be putting up for sale in the near future.
Only in Fair Condition (has numerous surface marks but plays fine).
