Ray Noble Speaks on H.M.V. 78RPM 1930's Brighton Store Advertising Disc

Description

This special 'His Master's Voice' advertising 78RPM record is titled 'Saunders Calling', and is an advertisement for a departmental hardware store in Brighton, Sussex in the 1930's. It is announced by Christopher Stone, with music played by Ray Noble and his Orchestra, with a little spoken dialogue between Ray Noble and Christopher Stone. This is an interesting record for several reasons, very well arranged and produced, and must have been an expensive advertising method at the time, involving the prestigious orchestra of Ray Noble, which plays a few bars of a different tempo of melody when each department is introduced by Christopher Stone... Both sides are in very good condition and the disc plays well. Note that I have other interesting 78RPM records on offer during this auction period, and good luck if bidding.
