See my other auctions this week for a bunch of nice R&B and rockabilly 78s! Here’s a very rare original copy of Ray Charles’ first hit on the Atlantic label. The songs are “Mess Around” and “Funny (But I Still Love You)”. This is an original pressing on the yellow Atlantic label from 1953, number 999. This copy grades a strong VG+ overall. Labels are clean, just a small bit of writing on once side. Plays great. Original thick heavy vinyl. Most copies I’ve seen of this record up for auction are VG at best… this one is nice!!!
